Bump: Kate and Matt

I met with Kate and Matt at Grand Park for Kate’s maternity session. She is six months along and looking absolutely beautiful. After speaking with Kate and her husband, Matt, it was clear that they are both super excited that their first child will be a boy! Even though Matt was a little shy for the camera, he was so great. Watching him be so attentive to his wife brings joy to my heart that their newborn son will be so loved and protected. Our session was a little chilly and drizzly that day but rain or shine, I always feel honored and privleged to be a part of someone’s new beginnings especially when it’s as special as a growing baby waiting to join the world.

Kate and Matt, I can’t wait to meet this little guy and congratulations to you both!!

Brenda’s Bump

Aside from photographing a special wedding with my father-in-law, the next day I had a special session scheduled with my best friend, Brenda and her husband, Joel. The anticipation has been overwhelming since they will be expecting their first born this early November. My Cubana Frijoles is having a little Bean and this bean is going to be a baby girl.

Brenda is my most comical of all of my girlfriends and her and I always have a riot when it comes to joking around. Between the both of us, we are like a ham and cheese sandwich. Joel is just a side Macaroni and Cheese. She has a great sense of style. She is very big about family. She’s blunt. And like me, she will take off her earrings and bust out in an angry dance off…or maybe that’s just me. Beyond all of the jokes, the giggling, and the rolling laughs, I am honored to be a part of her life and her experience into motherhood.

Bump

Imaree and Brian came in today for a maternity session in the studio. As they are anticipating an arrival for a little girl in March, you can definitely see the excitement they have for their soon to be growing family.

Bump

My sweet old friend, Rosa, came over today for a last minute maternity session before her baby boy arrives in a couple of weeks. Yes, I said it, a couple of weeks!! Her mother, Lisa, joined in on a couple of shots as this will be her first grandchild and what could be more special of a mom sharing something so important in an expecting mom’s life. I love it when expecting moms add their little ones to maternity sessions but there is something so endearing when the grandmother joins the session. I find this session exceptionally special not because it is my first session for 2009 but particularly these two women are so close to my heart.

I can’t wait to meet you little man!!

Bump

In February, Tara and Jason, will be expecting their first son, so they came over for a quick session before the little guy arrived. Tara’s daughter, Halie, joined in with the photo picks as she too is excited to meet her new baby brother.

Bump

Another close and dear friends of mine, Toni and Cutivetti, are expecting their first child in November.

Because Cut is a body builder and Toni who joins her husband at the gym, my girlfriends and I tease them that their baby is going to come flexing muscles and every time the baby moves its doing sit-ups and squats.

Personally I am excited for their anticaption and happiness to be a new family and at the same time am sad that only few months after the baby is born they will be leaving for Boston where Toni will be working on her Masters.

At least I will have a couple months to be with them before they leave and of course visiting them in Boston means another great excuse for me to travel.

I can’t wait to meet you Baby Dye…I’ll be waiting with some barbells for ya.
